This was also taken under my office window. This time I left the background as is. I really like the burgundy in contrast to the beautiful green of my bamboo - the only plant I seem to have any luck keeping alive.

My Musical Heart

I'm not sure which one I love more - music or photography! They run pretty neck and neck. I loved this conversation heart with the note on it. I figured the only thing to do with it was to photograph it.

This was taken in my office just under the window. I love using natural light whenever possible. It can be so soft and beautiful. I used some magnifying lenses, natural light and a black sheet to cover the background and table surface.

National Wear Red Day

Yes, I know this is not red and is definitely not a person, but I wanted to post something heart related. Today is National Wear Red Day to raise awareness about women and heart disease. Heart Disease is something that has been a part of my family's life for many, many, many years and I feel very strongly about it. It is sad to think that this has become such a huge factor in women's lives and is something that can be prevented by making good choices.

I've been holding onto this photo for about a year. I love the heart shape of the cactus and knew that it needed to be shared for something special. I hope you will enjoy the photo and remember to take good care of your heart!
